Tire/rim question!(Tacoma)

Tire/rim question!(Tacoma)
I have a 02' Tacoma 4x4, it's completly stock. It's time for some new tires and I would like to get the biggest tires possible, hopefully a 33" x 12.50 or close to that. I also would like to get some new rims. So my question is how big of a tire will my truck fit and what off set wheel would I need? Keeping in mind this truck is barely ever driven off-road, I'm just looking to beef it up a bit! Also I wouldn't be objective to putting a small lift on it in the future! Any suggestion or help would be GREAT! I'm a bit green when it comes to this!

I know that the proverbial "they" say that you need 3" of lift to clear 33's. The size tires you have now and the spacing you have left will be an easy way to determine how much bigger you can go. Your tires are either a 225/75/15 (OEM on a 02 Tacoma 4WD) which are roughly 28.3 inches tall, and 8.9 inches wide, or you are running a 265/70/16 (which is OEM on an 02 Taco with the TRD package) which are roughly 30.6 inches tall, and 10.4 inches wide... You can make your own best guesses based off of that. Hope this helps!!
I'm sure some of the other guys will chime in on what they are running on thier Taco's. I'm going to be running BFG MT's in a 33X12.5-15 variety, but I am lifting 3" and going with wheeler off roads custom Tacoma 15" wheels.

I have a 3" suspension lift, and I am running 32's with 16" AR steelies. I will probably go up one size to a 285/75R16 (33") when I get new tires. From what I have seen I will have minimal, if any, rubbing.

for the $$ check out Fabtech's 3.5 " Coilover lift with Add A Leafs in the rear, with the basic shocks its $538 at 4wheelonline.com. They also offer "performance" shocks for a little more money, or the "dirt logic 2.5" full race coilover for LOTS more money...check it out.

As far as inexpensive lifts go, there is this option: EZlift
I have been running this for almost a year and a half, I've wheeled fairly hard on it, and it's worked great. It might be what you're looking for.
