Maybe you should consider a 3.4 V6 swap if you've had it with the 3.0. I plan to swap someday, but it won't be until my 3.0 dies and I'm only at 128K miles or so...

The 3.4 swap is an option BUT it cost as much or more to do the swap and you still dont have a new engine. Also if you do the swap purchase a manual transmission setup engine. It has the grove for the pilot bearing. I purchased a 3.4 with an automatic and it would not work with my transmision. Another option is a Toyota Supra engine swap. I wound up doing another 3.0 in mine. Just for the ease of the installation and the lack of problems and hassle I would have to go through. Its all up to you on what you want to do. Good luck
