Thank You YT.com I'm Finally Legal!!!
OK, a big thanks goes out to everyone here on Yotatech.com that have been answering my questions, offering advice, sharing their expereineces, and helped me through my top end rebuild. I just finished up at the DMV and my truck is now 100% legal to drive on and off the roads here in sunny SOCAl.
The truck in question when purchased had a pending "salvage" title on it that not even the owner was aware of. Long story short, I had to get a brake and lamp inspection, smog, rebuild the top end to fix the #6 burnt valve and correct low compression, VIN verification, and misc minor repairs/maintenance. All done except for the fun stuff, thanks.
Now to finish up my mods, oh yeah!

She's driving great, now. For any who want pics this thread HERE follows my top end rebuild. I've hit a couple of dirt bypass roads and some simple hills and turns out in the fields near where I live. So far she's handling awesome.
From my first drive with her to now after all of the hard work, It's like driving 2 seperate trucks. Granted she's no speed demon, but she moves. Rides smooth compared to the crappy monroe shocks that were on their. Sit's with a more aggressive stance and handles like a champ on and off road.
Now I can focus on more of the "wants" and less of the "Needs", just don't tell my fiancee'
