Supercharger install/removal write-up?

I need to service my supercharger, and was wondering if there was a tech write-up on how to remove it? I have the 1st gen (silver) supercharger that has seen over 120k miles, so I need to do a complete overhaul on it.

I will take it off and do a rebuild during the winter months. I do need the 4Runner to stay running, so I'd need whatever parts that is necessary to go back to N/A setup.

If someone could post a link, it'd be appreciated.

Thanks.

The TRD wesite should have the PDF file of the supercharger installation instructions, hard to say how hard it will be to find the instructions for the GenI though...

This should help:

http://www.customtacos.com/tech/index.php?article=45

...it's the TRD install manual.

For putting it back on, be sure to check gadget's site for the Gen 1 routing. Once you've done it - you can probably logic it all out in your head. But it really helps that first time.

PS - do you still have all your parts from the NA days? Though now that I'm thinking about it, most of the ports and adapters are on the manifold. In theory you should be able to go back to stock in a day with a haynes (FSM preferably), the stock intake manifold and various sizes of hose.

AFAIK, there are no SC->NA directions. Perhaps you can make them and post them?

I've had mine apart so many times I'd bet I can do it about 2 hours.

Thanks for all the input. The 4Runner came from the dealer w/ the supercharger, so I don't have any extra parts. I think the best route would be to try and find someone near me who's done this before.

I'll try to take some pictures and post a write-up.

When I went back to N/A I had to order a couple extra bolts from the dealer.
I was able to just look at the diagrams from the FSM to figure out what was needed tho. Also might need a few hoses here and there.

Make sure you draw a diagram of your current hose routings tho for when you go back to S/C. I know that my '97 had a different setup than was in that TRD .pdf file (especially hooked up to the power steering, etc)
