Supercharger Belt Screech

I had my 45,000 mile work done and commented that my SC screeches under heavy acceleration and asked them to look into it. I figured that they would just tighten up the belt. But they came back with the news that I need a new belt and it’s gonna cost me about $25 bucks. To me that sounds kinda cheap. And I wonder if that’s really the problem. I remember some conversation a while back regarding a belt tensioner. Anyone have experience with this. Advice or Comments?

I had a belt squeal on my '99 Ford Lightning (superchrged) and there was a TSB on it. I took it to the dealer and they put a different belt on, (different composition? I duuno). Anyway; the squeal is gone now. Are you sure it's not the pulley though?

According to Alldata, there is a service bulletin on a squeak/rattle from idler. These are titles only, not the text of the bulletin. These might not be a free repair either.

They are indeed "warranty" repair. But with all the time I wasted at the stealer I cannot consider it "free". I been there 3 times to fix a rattle in my seat belt latch. My 4th appointment is schelduled in 2 weeks and will prolly be a waste of my time again.
