Spare tire hanging
I got new tires & wheels for my '94 X-cab pickup.
The new tread is 12" wide!
Needless to say the spare hangs down quite a bit.
It's easy to see that it could go up another 6" or so just by redesigning the mount.
Before I go down the path of designing my own I was wondering if there were any off-the-shelf ones.
Thanks in advance.
You can just see it peeking out behind the mudflap in this pic.

I haven't heard of any off the shelf options for this. I have the same problem with a 1" body lift and a 33x12.50 spare in the stock spare tire location. Hangs down a lot.
Steve Schaefer has a custom spare tire mount. Here's a link:

It would be nice if someone made a new mount kit that was adjustable from 1-3" to accomodate the different common body lifts.
