Seats

Hmmmm... i am growing tired of the bench seat in my 87 pickup... Anyone know how much trouble it would be to put 2 bucket seats in there instead of the bench? And anyone know of some buckets that would fit easily in without much trouble... I had someone recommend front seats from a 95+ 4Runner if i could find a wrecked one... Any other suggestions?

dont know for sure but.....

if you find seats from the same year body style of truck they should bolt right up

i doubt toyota made differnt cabs to accomodate whether or not bucket or bench seats were being installed

Did Toyota even put bucket seats in 87 pickups? A friend of the family has an extended cab and has a bench also... And a couple other people around here have 87 toyotas and all benchesin those.

toyota buckets

they did put bucket seats in the 87's. mainly in the sr5 models. they actually made different floors if bench or buckets. my 1982 4x4 was a real plain one and it did not have the extra bolt holes. my 81 4x4 daily driver does it was a sr5. i put 87 subaru bucket seats in my 82. i found out that 79-83 bucket seat brackets bolt rite up to the subaru seat no modifying mounting holes. those seats are way more comfortable then toyota seats and a lot eaiser to find

they will fit

they will fit you just have to drill the holes in the floor for 2 back inner holes by the tranny hump in the floor and the inner front holes you will have to hold a nut on the back of the bracket welded to the floor. ones with buckets from factory had the nuts already welded there and the bolt hole in the floor. the inner seat bracket will bolt up just like your outer bench seat bracket.

that doesnt sound too difficult.

the holding nut part in the front....
is that require drilling? or is the hole there already and plugged?

Just a little ad...

I have two blue buckets from my 2000 4Runner I've been trying to get rid of. Make me a decent offer and they're yours.

phisherman i am interested

do you have pictues?

in what condition are they in?

how will they bolt up, how many holes will i need to drill and will they fit in like stock 1980 seats?
what i mean are they the same size, will i still have the same leg room?

it really all depends on how much they would be to ship, do you have any idea what they would cost?

i can have them shipped to a business address if it cheaper.

thanks alot
good looking out
Jeff

oh my city, state, zipcode is:
lakewood, ca 90712 if you need that to estimate shipping

I'll take some detailed pictures tomorrow and get some dimensions, then I'll PM you. I got an estimate of like $45 each to CA a few weeks ago. It will be cheaper to ship to a business though.

jjdeneen the holes are there in the bracket welded to the floor. there in just no nut tack welded there.no plug. the bucket seat bolts up in the center like your the outer front bolt on your bench seat. if you get the seats from the newer 4 runner none of your bolt holes will line up. only 79-83 ones will fit exactly rite.
