Repair Manuals

I am looking for repair manuals for my 2001 Tacoma. The Haynes books cover up to 2000. Were there significant changes to the Tacoma that year? Would the basics be similar between the two years? Are there any other manuals covering the 2001 Tacoma? I am looking for torque specs and a reasonable reference material when I need to tackle brakes, spark plug replacement etc. I switched over to synthetic auto transmission fluid on the weekend and would have liked to know the torque specs for the transmission pan bolts, besides "half a turn before stripping". Thanks!

welcome to the site...

are you asking for what info is best? or just simply stating that is what you have? i have a 1985 toyota truck with a 22r and as far as repair manuals go, i have them all... the toyota oem factory service manual is quite spendy but is the best....

http://techinfo.toyota.com

you can subscribe for a day for $10 and download the entire FSM for your particular truck as a bunch of little PDF files...kind of a pain, but well worth it to get an FSM for your truck for $10.

they also have a bunch of other cool stuff you can download like all the TSBs, tech training manuals, etc.

I just used this service and it worked awesome. While I had the membership for the day, I downloaded a bunch of stuff I knew I would need for the future.

I love PDF's! By the way, just hit CNTRL+L then CNTRL+3 to make the screen (PDF) nice and formatted. It makes it even better.
