Reasons why Northwest Offroad sucks!

I`ve been having this noise over bumpy roads for the past 6 months and now I think I found it. While replacing my rear shocks I noticed this.

I put the spring back on, I have no choice until I get a replacement but it will not be from NWOR. I won`t even bother them about having this replaced. I`ve been in a similar situation in which the 1" lift rear leaf springs they sent me lifted my rear end 4". They would not take it back and insisted it was 1" lift.

Damn, Jboy.
How did that happen? I'm thinking about going higher soon in the rear. So that spring you bought was actually a 4" lift spring. But you were looking for only 1".

Yes and no, that scenario was for my 1990 pup truck. It was a 1" lift rear leaf spring that turned out to be 4" lift. My truck look liked a hot rod. They said it would settle some but not to what I needed to level my ride. :pat:

for the rear of a pickup your better off to get a pair of lift shackles. gives you a 1.5" lift and are under $75 + it will still ride the same. not like a add-a-leaf which will make it stiff. just my $.02

are those springs from NWOR? it's suprising the broken piece stayed in there.

My pup is long gone and it was not a AAL it was the complete leaf spring pack.

The piece stayed put due to rust. I had to knock on the spring just to loosen it from the bottom seat.

i know you meant just the complete springs on your old truck. i was just throwing the lift shackle idea out there as a easier and cheaper idea for anybody checking out this thread who has the sagging problem on there truck or 1st gen 4runner. we did it to my friend 89 4x4 truck and it sat perfect.

i'd be pissed about the spring problem also i feel for you about the spring problems. i had to torch the heads off the front rear springs bolts on my 85 4runner when i put the 5" rear lift springs on it. rite next to the gas tank

i never had a problem with the stuff i bought from NWOR. i got a couple off the metal guide timing chain kits and the bracket to raise the torque rod on a solid alxe truck. it fit perfect.

Crash wont touch anything from NWOR anymore either. We've had bad luck with them and their stuff also I got tired of having to keep going back and fixing it.

I've never had a single problem with NWOR. Oh wait, the only thing I ever ordered from them is the catalog... :pat: Nice catalog though...

I've had them give me the wrong parts before, but when I took it back they apologized and made it right. There are 2 widths of U-bolts and they forgot to ask which size. I've also bought my steering stabilizer, pitman and idler arms there. Oh, as I think about it I've only had the idler arm for something like 8 months and it's loosening up. But they are always friendly and have taken back parts I mistakenly bought.

(BTW- I'm local so I personally walk in and buy the parts.)
