Quiet muffler for a 2000 4Runner?

When I bought the truck, it had a FlowMaster muffler already installed. Now that I use it for daily commutes to work, through traffic, it's giving me a head ache.

Is there anyone that can suggest a particular Brand and Model# of the muffler that is quiet, or a stock replacement (without the deep/loud exhaust noise).

I used to like it, but not for an everyday commute where I'm in traffic for 30minutes to 1hour.

Thanks.

Again, always appreciated for the help.

BTW, I got my Check Engine Light figured out, the K&N filter was too oiled from the previous owner, and the MAF got dirty. Switching filters fixed it, but now the PO420 code came back, which means I'm going to have to probably get a cat replaced one day or the sensor (forgot which one).

That's what I was thinking about, Magnaflow, the longer models. I also hear a lot about the FlowMaster "70 series" whatever that mean, I'm not sure. Thanks, I'll keep in mind of the advice.

I just got the 24" straight through magnaflow with 2.5" in/out piping to compliment the supercharger. Honestly it's much louder than I thought it would be. I think that a lot of that is due to the bigger piping though. Idle is totally quiet, but any load on the motor up to about 3k rpm and you'll hear it for sure.

I'm not into the exhaust sound thing, so I think I'm going to get a Vibrant Ultra Quiet Resonator. But, the performance gain is very noticeable, mainly at WOT and cruising. I don't seem to gas it as much to keep my speed around town. Romp on it, and I get up to red a lot faster. It also *really* smoothed out my torque curve. I'm happy, but still needs to be quieter for my taste.

Magnaflow definately. Low grumble, more HP....its great. I have an 18" with partly 2.5" piping and a high-flow cat. It's perfect for me.
