Question: Anyone who has a WAAG Brushguard

HELP!!! I recently bought one of these used, it looks great, but was a bear to install. I was wondering.... there are three bolts on the bottom side.
- Two are 14mm and install horizontally.
- The third is a smaller bolt and the nut threads into a bolt that goes vertically. We could not remove this from the other 4runner and had to cut it off. How do you get a bolt in the frame where there is NO opening on any of the sides?

- Therefore I was not able to install this bolt... should I be worried?
- Should the brush guard shake a bit?
- How does this bolt get installed? :pat: Or removed?

Thanks

did it come with the upper mount? is there any other holes? Mine didnt match up exactly and ended up bending the guard to fit it...which makes me question its structure integrity, o well. I suppose you can look into welding the thing a little if nothing works out for you. And yes, it's supposed to shake a little.

I have the upper brackets, and everything lines up and bolts, I can shake the truck if i shake the brush guard.

I just wonder about not having that third bolt since it provides pressure up instead of back.

Do you mean only two bolts hold your brush guard on?

Mine was a Pain int he ass to install. I couldnt get the grille off to get the top support on, so halfway through the install, I took it off and went to a local shop and had them do it. It shakes a little, but I was told that it i normal by someone who has had theirs for about 4 years.

now, How the hell do I remove the grille to I can tighten the upper bolts? Mine losenes a little somehow and every time i hit a bump, it squeaks. It skurrs me. Makes me think of a focked up suspension...

there are clips on back of the grill, you just gotta pop them out with a screw driver.

Mine started squeaking after a while and for the longest time I thought it was the upper mounts. It turns out that the rubber stopper for the hood was the problem. I just turned them clockwise to raise a little and problem stopped. I've been searching for the source of this for more than a year and was finally resolved. Hope this helps

i only paid $200 for mine but it was from a good friend. Originally we used the H4 ring off a halogen bulb but the light was blinding. It was basically a low and high beam on @ the same time. Now I have billet H4 adapters from Caspers Electronics: https://www.casperselectronics.com/M...Category_Code=

they have a good beam pattern, the only difference between mine and an OEM setup is that mine don't have sharp edges on the beam, it just kind of fades away like halogens do. I also don't have any high beams
but a few Hellas should fix that. hope that answers your question!
