Pro-Comp Leafs?
I was looking for solutions to my saggy rear and came across this:
http://partsxdirect.com/part.aspx?pid=235295
The price is right, and they seem to be the whole spring pack if you look at p/n 33211 here:
http://www.explorerprocomp.com/PDFs/07cat/132.pdf
Anyone using these? Should be a solid solution?
Thanks,
Kevin

Think about this, its cheap and highly regarded! http://www.4x4wire.com/forums/showfl...1&fpart=1&vc=1
Yeah... But eventually these springs will crack, and ave to be replaced, so why not bite the bullet now?

The leaf packs, even though they are tired, are now supporting far less weight( the single coil is probably supporting over 50% by itself) and will last another 18 years.
Anybody that has new after-market leafpacks that seem to be slowly sagging...or carry large amounts of firewood/camping gear....and don't want to replace the leafpacks anytime soon should be thinking about a center coil that is "biased" to give about 1" of lft or so. The leaf packs will likely not sag ever again....and you can dial in the lift.

Just received an e-mail from Pro-Comp; and they inform me these will give you a 3-4" lift on the DBL Cab Taco, and 5-6" on the REG Cab. Seems like a decent price for a lift, rather than add-a-leafs.
So even if these start to sag, I think it is fine rather than add a coil spring in the center of the diff/

Yeah, I'm not doing the coil idea, the cold, and road salt do things to steel I don't like, one way or another I'm going to replace the leafs. I'm completely capible of doing it, and I'm not going to. I have a Extended cab, with a cap, so that 200-300 extra lbs should help make it sit a little lower. When lifting 2-3" you need longer shocks, and a longer rear brake line I take it.
