PreRunner info
Whats up, I have a 2000 PreRunner and I havent done anything to it yet. I was wondering if it is even worth it to do anything to it, and if so what should I do to it?

It really depends on how you plan on using it? Daily Driver? Show Truck? Tells us more and I'm sure you will get some good feedback.
BTW, welcome to the forum!

I would really like to use the truck off-road, I am just getting in to off-roading and its really fun. I have been to a couple of places and had a lot of fun. What would be worth it to do, since its only 2 wheel drive?

If you have a lot of cash to burn, I would suggest you go one of the next major off-road races and you will find yourself inexplicably and intensely motivated to install a nice, phat, long travel on your front end (since you don't have to deal with 4wd axles) and then cut some holes in the rear bed, to make way for some long-ass shocks mounted to a newly fabbed cage. You'll also need to get some good fiberglass bedsides and fenders to accept those new meaty 33" tires you'll be mounting. Also better stuff some deeper gears in there while you're at it.

[EDIT] I forgot to mention that my earlier post about all of the desert go-fast stuff may not be realistic where your budget and intentions are concerned. In all reality, you have a fine truck and it really depends on what type of driving you really want to do with it. For a lot less money, you could put some quality aftermarket coilovers on the front end to add some lift, and an Add-A-Leaf with some better shocks in the rear to level it out, with some 32" tires and maybe that locker that you mentioned. This would be a reasonably priced improvement over stock that would allow you to have a really fun truck that can go a lot of places in comfort and perform well. If you want to get into serious rocks/climbing stuff, you might find yourself wanting a 4wd.
