Ordered URD 190lph fuel pump...how difficult is it to install?
Hey all!
Tracked down my power surge problem to the infamous fuel delivery issue. That being said, I completely rescind any claims I made the the stock fuel system is up to the challenge of supporting the supercharger at high altitude. Even here in Colorado, a higher flowing fuel pump is necessary when adding larger injectors.
I've been reading my manuals on dropping the tank and replacing the pump. But nothing beats real world experience and feedback. So, how hard was it to install the fuel pump?
Thanks!

Yeah, it took me about 3 hours without any help. Here are a few pointers:
1. Run the tank down to about E so it's lighter.
2. Pressure wash everything before you do the job (otherwise old crusty dirt will fall on your face and in your eyes if you aren't wearing goggles).
3. If you have the fuel sending unit problem like most of us, be sure to check out the thread below. If the contacts on the sending unit look black in places, try using a new pencil eraser and cleaning them off. A bunch of us are curious to see if that solves or at least alleviates the sending unit problem.
