Onboard Air-Compressor Mount

Onboard Air-Compressor Mount
For you guys with 3rd gens and onboard air-where have you mounted your compressor?
I'm really interested in the bigger Extremeair and Viair 100% duty cycle compressors b/c there really isn't much room under the hood at all.

look on Lar Dennart's website..... "I installed the compressor behind the front bumper by fabricating brackets. This is about the only place big enough and is handy for keeping it cooler than under the hood. Fortunately I do not cross deep water very often here in California."

Yeah, I thought about that, but I have submerged my bumper a couple of times at Tellico. May just have to do it and take my chances though.

nope, it came to me when I was thinking about adding a compressor, since the they are standard pipe threads, it would be easy to add a fitting and run a hose into the engine compartment and attaching the intake filter to the firewall.....

The compressor is NOT sealed. I would stay out of water deep enough to put the compressor underwater.
I would not mount the compressor in the front bumper if you cross bumper-high water much.

The compressor is mounted such that the legs are on the fender and the piston is pointing into the engine compartment.
I had a pic somewhere... I think it's MIA on my website.

I have a Viair 450c that's mounted up on the passenger fender where the cruise control goes in an auto, just behind the MAF as it comes out of the airbox. I moved the CC box down farther on the fender.
