OME & TJM - phase 1 complete
The OME & TJM mission is accomplished.
The lift is not what I expected.
Front lift - OME 881 with N91SC shock = 1 5/8"
Rear lift - OME 890 with N86C shock = 3 1/4"
I think that my rear was already down a skosh prior to the lift though.
This is after zero miles of driving, just rolled around on the shop floor.
It looks higher in the front because of the TJM.

Looks really good. The coils take a good month or so to settle. Drive it at least a week before you get an alignment. If you have a Firestone Tire and Service center near you, you can get a life-time alignment for around $120-140. Its a really good deal, because if it sttles and you want to add a spacer or change it, then you just go get it re-done. Good Luck!

with regards to painting those stubbs sliders, i used hammerite textured black paint. i also used metal etch sandable primer even though hammerite says you can just spray it on. the reason i did this is the hammerite is quite the runny spray paint. thus, it would keep running and not really adhering.
also, the color of the black hammerite is more of a dark, dark greyish black. kinda of like a really dark charcoal grey. so if you're looking for a true black, hammerite is NOT it. i believe theres a few members who used krylon flat black with good results.
hey, search "stubbs" and/or satoshi. i have the part number for the non-abrasive 3M grip tape in the latter part of my thread. good stuff.

The 3M tape arrived two days ago from McMaster. I did get the part number from your thread.
I could not have done all this without the fine folks, like you, on this board.

Yeah, I was having the same problem with my OME setup and the weight of the TJM. I even had the HD OME coils on HD Bilstein shocks it it was sagging a good bit. What setup did you go with? The good thing is that it puts less stress on the ol' CVs. I would go with what loosehead said and get the lifetime allignment. I did it and it has already paid for its self atleast twice. The only thing about having the nose sag is that if you plan on getting bigger tires you better plan on some trimming and rubbing. I got the downey adjustable coilovers which I thought would get me 3.25" of lift (w/o the bumper) but i'm still a bit lower in the front that in the back. So, it looks like i'm going to be needing a spacer too. I'm going to try getting some stiffer tundra valved shocks and see if that helps a bit, but I don't think it will be enough. btw, how did you get those turn signals in that bumper?? The fogs too!? Is that the fog kit thingy or what?

So hmmm...
Can you take a close up on how you did that? did you cut the entire front piece off and weld in your own with holes and brackets? No austin NO, you DON"T need more lights. NO... :pat:

OH- since I am about to start tweaking our 02 runner I sure would like to know what your real impressions of the OME springs are , and also if you run the shocks I would like to hear about those too.

Stubbs' arrived today, along with my diffdrop spacers from Steve.
The sliders look great. The welds are very nice and the diamond plate end caps are a neat touch. I am not too sure when they'll go on as I am still thinking about how I want to do this. It won't be too long of a wait though!
I am having second thoughts on installing the Sonoran spacers right now as I only got 1 5/8" out of my OME's and that was measured before any settling. I will measure again in a week or so and if the front has settled to closer to 1", I may pass on these, for now. The rear panhard drop is another matter (I got over 3 inches of lift in the back) and I am going to take a hard look at that when I get under there for the sliders.
I will start a "phase two" thread when I get these on.

i like it man, how does yours flex? i just put a full OME kit and a TJM bumper on my taco this weekend and love it. i'm anxious to put on the body lift and 33s then sliders...here's my thread

yeah, i don't blame you, it's tough bashin your baby around on the trails especially when they are new, but it sure is fun! that rear locker will make so much difference, it helps out so much! are you going arb, e-locker, or full time like a detriot?

I am leaning towards retro-fitting a factory e-locker but I'm still doing the reading/research. If I get real ambitious, I will put an ARB in the front someday as well but I'm getting a little ahead of myself............
