OME rear coils

Wondering how I can find a good place to purchase rear coils springs (OME) I have called Mike and left messages... Does anyone know where else to buy?

Also I raised the front 2 " will the 891 or 892 level this out? Jst springs no spacers.

Also should I have and aligment after putting front spacers in the struts? It seems to drive straiter then before, but feels light in the curves

Waht should OME 891 or 892 cost?

While Mike has good prices and seems to be a reputable vendor, he is a bit hard to get a hold from my experience. I didn't feel like waiting, so I found a local place that ordered mine by just searching the net a bit and looking in the phone book. Word of mouth from some locals might help too. I would get new shocks with new springs all at the same time.

I purchased the 891 rear springs with the N86 shocks for the rear and the 881 front springs (no winch or custom front bumper) with the N91S shocks. This combination gives about 2-2.5" in the front and 2.5-3" in the rear from what I've read. I'm putting the OMEs on this weekend, not that I have the correct springs as they sent me 882s instead of 881s for the front.

Drive it a few hundred miles before an alignment to let the new suspension settle.

I spent around $600 for all my OME stuff and I think the 891s were around $125 a pair.

Good luck!

Another option is Rocky Road Outfitters. They're buds of my brother, so I got my bumper and OME springs from them. Good guys and fair prices. http://www.rocky-road.com/suspensions.html

Ask for Mike. It's here in good old Alabama.

I purchased mine from Wheeler's Off Road. I have purchased a lot of parts from him and they were always on my doorstep in a few days. I have also been able to get a hold of him every time I have tried.

With 2" of lift in the front and OME 891's on the rear, your rear will be at least an 1" higher than the front if not more. If you are going to put the 891's on I would recommend that you load up the back with some weight; hi-lift, tools, recovery gear, etc. The weight will lower you down about 1/2"-3/4" and make the ride much smoother. Just my Opinion and experience

I failed to mention that I do carry my spare in the cargo area and it is a 285 along with a bunch of other junk.

Tarheel performance

I bought my OME hd springs and OME shocks from Ron at tarheel performance in Charlotte. (704) 598-1000 Seemed to be good guys. I think it was $130.00 or so for the coils, same for shocks. But it has been a while.
Something to keep in mind though, The OME does not send a extended brake line with it. Some say ya dont need it but I think otherwise. I flipped the brackets over that hold the line on the axel and that made up about 3 or 4 inches of play on the line, but now the line is not hugging the axel also. Not a big deal if ya stay on cut trails, but could get bad if ya hit the sticks in the woods. One in the right spot could possibly kink the line and that could be bad. Has not happened to me, but I go slower in the sticks than I do in the rocks. (had bad experience running a bulldozer when clearing land one time, 14 inch thick twig shut down a D8 for about a week)
