OBDII, CA and Replacement Cats
Looks like my cats (both of them) might be bad. I have not had a chance to check the heat shields yet, but the guy at local muffler shop said both are bad..... $700 bad.
I saw posts about aftermarket cats (Carsound, Dynaflow) but the guy at this shop said that since I'm in California and have OBDII, aftermarket Cats can't be installed.
Anyone shed some light on this?

Bro I feel for you,I got f@#$ed over by a muffler shop that said they could do a free flow cat on my 97 runner. All was dandy till smog time,I ended up having to buy another cat. Trust me,Stock is the best way to go.
