New SkyJacker CoilOvers for Tacos and 4Runners

While surfing at Rocky Mountain Suspension I find out that SkyJacker has recently developed a 2.5" Lift Kit for Tacomas.

It comes with a set of newly designed coil overs that should fit both 3rd gen 4Runners and of course Tacos.

The full Tacoma 2.5" Lift Kit sells for $960 here's a pic:

It looks like it may have some potential ...

The lift looks good, but I want the sliders and the light bar...

I just called Rocky Mountain Suspension, and the salesman I spoke with said the Coil-Overs alone were available, but cost over $800 for the pair if bought separate from the kit. I asked if they were adjustable or not and he said no, that they were a fixed-height set-up. They do come with all new mounting hardware. He asked one of the guys in their shop if it would work on the 4runners and they said they had not tried it yet and could not verify. The main reason that they weren't sure if it would work or not is because the top mount is changed to some type of eye-bolt system. Anyway, just wanted to share...

Cheers!

Maybe that is the patented mounting system they are talking about. $800 for non-adjustable Coil-Overs is WAAAYYYY too much!

yeah, that is weird. I thought that the old ones were adjustable. I guess adjustable doesn't really make that much sense though, because it is only the front. What can you do about the rear?

As far as I know, those are the SkyKings made for Skyjacker by KING shocks. From the photo it looks like that brass colored plate would bolt to the spring hat and then accept a mounting bolt that goes through the top shock eye.

For the same price, you can get the KING coilovers, which are adjustable like the Sway-A-Ways, but have the adjustment collar and schrader valve at the top of the assembly, rather than at the bottom. They have a 2.5" shock body.
