need help with starting problem!

hey guys, this isn't about my runner but a friends 99 GMC sonoma. One day the car wouldn't start, but after we let it sit for a few hours it started again but it died after moving a few feet. We put in a new battery and it start and drove normal for about a day and the next day it was wouldn't start again. We got the alternater tested and the guys are kragens said it was fine, and it may be the voltage regulator...

any ideas???

thanks!

Goto a alternater shop and test it. I think the voltage regulator is in the alternater.
