Need clutch help

It's been a long day and I'm brain dead and can't figure out how to put my clutch back together. It's a 2002 tacoma, 3.4, 5 speed. Which side of the clutch goes against the flywheel? The flat side or the side that sticks out about 3/4 of an inch in the center of the clutch. It fits both ways. Thanks.

On 4Runner's with the 3.4 the side that sticks out goes towards the flywheel, I would think a Tacoma would be the same. It will fit both ways but it won't work properly if you get it backwards, and it's a pita to remove the tranny again.

That's why I mark my clutch BEFORE I take it out.

Did this before on an old Chevy Cavalier and had to remove the tranny. That is when I started to mark the old parts.
