Nice lookin' trucks. My question (as I am new to trucks) is this: when the wheel is deep (probably 10" or more) and sticks out from the body, is this just backspacing? From the side view, I think it makes the truck look very aggressive but the pics from the front of the truck make the setup look a little weird for me. I've always liked wide wheels but prefer the more "tucked" look.

well, wheel depth has some role in making the tires stick out, but it is also done by backspacing. theres lots of articles on this forum about wheels and what width, backspacing and offset are. if you like that tucked look, but also want to run wide rims, depending on your application i dont know if itll be possible. i know with 4runners and tacomas, since youll need to clear the upper a-arms, youll need a rim with ABOUT 4.5" of backspacing or LESS to not have rubbing issues, or you could also replace the a-arms. keep in mind though, with less and less backspacing, you put more stress on your drivetrain/suspension components.

I'm not a big fan of the wheels sticking really far out either... Maybe if they had some big fender flares, or something... Not too big on the lambo doors either... Form over function.

So whats the logic behind this then? Looks? Because it fails there too. To sacrifice safety and functionality for aesthetics its pretty damn ridiculous.

Basically, they suck.

Pointless and Ugly.

Maybe it works better on sand and cruzing the beach? I will accept that if it is true.

yep. ask the other guys from hawaii on this forum. I'd say 90% of trucks in hawaii that have been modified never see anything but asphalt and concrete.

not to mention that you'll be coughing up a load of money on wheel bearings with that much backspacing...
