i have a 91 pickup 22re, i was wondering if there are any other master cylinders that will bolt in to my truck and if there were would it make a diffrence in stopping. Last are there any rear discs that will bolt on, its a 2wd.

The v-6 master will bolt on and is a little larger bore than the 4 cyl. you can also get a LC master and use it, but I think it may require some modification. It will give you a harder pedal and should help in stopping.
Assuming youre brakes are in good shape to begin with.

ok, reason i ask is im going to a junkyard soon for a fan switch and driver side upper door hinge. I was thinking of some parts to pick up while i was there and cuz they'll be cheaper too.

I bought a 1992 type 22re master cylinder form NAPA and it measured 1" bore.
Big difference on the braking response.I have it on my 1986 2wd 1 ton truck.

The 1" bore V6 master cylinder is much better than the stock 7/16" bore. Also, make sure you pick up the larger bore calipers from the donor truck to complete the swap. Get a caliper rebuild kit from Toyota (cheap $$$) and rebuild them yourself. However, you may need a compressed air source to pop out the piston cups inside the calipers. Powerstop makes "cross-drilled" rotors for our trucks as well. That's a nice upgrade too.

A rear disc brake conversion would be good, but that might cost some $$$ due to the fab work required to make it work. I believe they use '86-'91 E-body (ex. Cadillac Eldorado) brake parts for the rear disc conversions on our trucks. You still need to fab up a few items to make it work though.

The FJ80 master cylinder won't work with rear drums as it has a residual valve that cannot be removed. It works great for rear discs though.
