lug nut qusetions

hey guys i need some help i bought some mickey thompson classic 1 rims but the lug nut are too small they dont catch the threads. i bought these from someone used, do i need to use special lug nuts or can i use the stock ones? is anyone using their stock lug nuts? if i need special lug where can i get them from?(the cheapest place) thanks for your time

You might need to get some straight shank lug nuts that are tapered and insert into the lug nut hole to grip the wheel lugs. I had to buy some after I bought a used set of 1994 Toyota 4Runner factory alloys.

You may need to get longer studs. You could try the lug nuts that Sea is talking about. They are called "ET" lug nuts. I guess "ET" stands for extra thread. They are conical seat lug nuts that have a shank so you get more threads on the stud. They also help to center your wheels. The only draw back is that they don't fit all wheels.
