Looking for a smaller basket!!
Well I finally got the yakima rack on top with the ski rack and bike racks on the after market yakima towers. If I can find the right basket, I have room on the rear stock rack and would like to attach a smaller basket to the rear. I just can't find any? Has anyone seen any online?? Something similar to the Yakima basketcase, just a tad bit smaller. Any suggestions??

Hey,
I'm not sure if the Yakima baskets has this or not, but a lot of baskets out have an extender you could buy seperately. I think they usually add about 18-24 inches. So, instead of buying a whole new basket, you may be able to add on to the one you've got. I dunno.
Other than that, I don't really have any suggestions. Sorry. I don't know of any other basket sizes smaller, but, then again, I havn't really been basket shopping either.
Well, have fun.

Frontier
My buddy has a double cab Frontier and said they make a small basket for it that replaces the factory roof rails. Might be worth a look. You can always put a Toyota sticker over the Nissan one...
The alternative is to break out the .
Most of those safari type racks out there require assembly. Maybe a little tube cutting prior to assembly would net a smaller unit.
Good Luck and Happy Hunting.
