Got down and dirty and removed my broken front right CV axle today. When i removed it from the DIfferential there was alot of fluid that came out unexpectedly. I am not sure if this is normal. Anyone know?

It says that it takes 75w90 on the diff itself, but damn i didnt expect i would have to change the fluid when changin the axle???

The only thing i can think is that i might have broken a seal inside of there somewhere???? Any ideas on this?
Also would it be safe to fix the seal later on down the road and still drive it as long as i dont go into 4wd?
Not really sure how the ADD works on there.

its normal for oil to come out, it was just full which is a good thing as long as there is not oil leaking out of the diff the seal is fine

should i buy new oil to refill what came out? I dont plan on driving in 4wd for a couple weeks. Going on vacation, just need the truck to get around.

i would, its not too hard, just take out the fill plug and fill it until its level with the fill hole, even though you wont be in 4wd for awhile, because you have ADD the axles and pinion (spider) gears will be spinning and will need lube, you probably have enough in it right now, but i would play it safe and fill it up
