How Much Lift Needed To Run 315/75/R16?
How much lift is needed to run 315/75/R16 tires on a 3rd gen?
I was looking at the OME 3" Lift 4Runner Coil Kit and do you think a body lift is needed as well? How big of a body lift is required?
Is there anything else I should be purchasing while doing the lift and tires or am I ready to go? I do plan on running it on stock wheels for now or should I go with 285/75/r16 on stock wheels for now?
Any input would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

you would need a wheel with 4.5" backspacing (not positive) and a pretty good sized body lift to clear those without rubbing.
or the fabtech 6".
oh yeah and new gears because thats alot of meat your pushin around.

Well after some searching looks like he's only running 2.5" lift plus a 2" body lift and 295/75/R16.
With the OME 3" Lift 4Runner Coil Kit and the 4crawler 2" body lift, should I be fine running a 33" tire then?

you'll be a little sluggish with the 22re but clearance-wise you should be fine with most rims.
as for the 3rd gen, another big factor is the a-arm, which depresses right into the tire so either shaved a arms or aftermarkets would be almost a necessity. i'm still thinking about getting some 315s for arounds and i still have 4.10s, but by my calculations it shouldn't be TOO bad, highway driving is out of the question though unless i want to poop out 20 dollar bills.
wait, are we talking about a 3rd gen or the one pictured in your avatar?

So should I be fine with the OME 3" Lift 4Runner Coil Kit and the 4crawler 2" body lift while running 33" tires?

dont need shaved or aftermarket arms either. you can run 1.5" spacers up front. works for me. fwiw, im running 2.5" susp lift, 1.5" body lift, lots of front firewall pounding & trimming" ...and it'll still rub on full stuff. front & rear. not major though. this is for 315's.
for 285's, 2-2.5" suspension lift is enough.

I just had a 3" lift and was running 285's fine on my taco. Just put a 3" body lift and ordered 315's. I did just regear as well, so I figure I should be fine. Might have to do a little trimming or other mods.

I have a fabtech 6in lift for the taco, and a custom 3 link in the rear, they clear the 315"s great, i have 16in of rear wheel travel, and i and stuff the 315's all the way up the wheel well. i have the OEM upper control arms, just after market wheel. the factory backspacing rubbed on the front arms.

So I have a stock front bumper and the lame limited fender flares on my 97 4run. 3" toytec coils/lc coils, 2" RB bl, and 1" wheel spacers. can I clear 35/11.50's? I am ready for some trimming, but I don't want the tires rubbing on the frame.

only thing i'd have to do to run 35's is tub the firewall and trim fenders
