Hi-lift: 48" or 60"? Your thoughts?

48"
No place to put a 60" Hi-Lift except up top on a roof rack as it takes up too much space. I can't think of a situation, I'm sure there is one, where a winch wouldn't get me out where a 48" Hi-Lift would not suffice. Now do you get the black or the red one? 
I just bought one and I went 48". I hope this makes sense as the drugs are kicking in from my eye surgery...

I max my cats 48" out jacking the rear on flat ground, that is only with 33's and a pretty low truck.
If you actually use it on the trail when stuck or high centered, a 60" will be well worth it.
The pics from Colorado where Steve is stuck are using a good chunk of a 60"
Get cast, supposed to be tougher.

I think he is aggravated because you are debating between a 48'' and 60'' jack. Ifyou are into 4-wheelin' then you get a 60'' and if you want it because it ''fits behind the set'' then.............

Thanks Mark. It is genuine, I checked that out extensively. This is one of the "high-end" sporting goods stores in Phoenix (if that is possible). I could drop $100K in that place in a heartbeat.
It's called Sportsmen's Warehouse (I dont think they have those in WA, but I can't be sure).

They are genuine, like CHRISTIAN said, I took a look at them as well when I was there once.
I say, if you're a hardcore wheeler, get the 60". If you're backroad trail explorer, get the 48".
They do have a store in WA; in SPOKANE.
It is a very nice store, like a mall for guys.

wow... okay then, I vote for a pricing screwup.
The 60" will get you out of more stuff, but I haven't gotten into anything where I need to use the jack at all. I've only used it to pull tires for brake jobs and such.
If you do decide on the 60", then maybe it's time for a roof rack so that you can mount it somewhere.

I only have 3.75-4" of lift and run 33's now (34's in the pic) and a 48" jack aint lifting my tires when used on the rear. It will on the sliderz and front bumper but that's usuzally on flat grount or the high side. My leafs are rather flexy and I have extended and apexed shocks to allow me to use the full range of the springs. My point is... it's a relatively small truck (as you can see in the pic) and the 48" is to short.
Get the 60"!!

I think what you have to think about is what direction is your truck going? I mean are you eventually going to have it lifted huge and on 35's? or are you just planning on keeping it how it is now? basically, for the way your truck is now, you wont need the 60". i just think that (judging by your truck now) you wont ever have a need for the 60". Especially since you want to mount it in the cargo area, i think the 48" is still the most logical choice for your application.
