Thumbs up pics hell creek suspension rear leaf springs OME n91s n85 881 coil spring 1995 tacoma

I really needed some rear leaf springs and since I do not need a huge lift kit I decided to go with some cheap leafs off ebay that had 4 leafs and an over load so the total number of leafs was 5.

My original truck measured 21" from the center of the rear wheel to fender lip on the left side and 22.25" on the right. After the spring install the left measured 24.25" and the right 24.75". So I got about a three inch lift over the 12 year old 215K mile sagging stock 3 leafs and an overload pack. I got about 4" at the rear bumper.

Before

After

I'm sure the truck will drop some after I drive it and tow with it, but the new springs should be more stout especially with the added leaf.

The truck handles 100% better.

The nice thing was I got the springs 2 days after I placed the order. They were pretty close though in Mississippi. The cost was $270 plus $70 shipping.

I added some old man emu n85 rear shocks, n91s front shocks along with some 881 springs today. It loos pretty level right now. I expect the front to drop and the rear will probably drop some more as well. I am pretty happy with the setup. I purchased some of those ome spacer packer things but didn't use them. I also installed the springs with the autozone coil sping rent a tool. I ground off a little metal on their tool to make it work.

I got my r&p today as well along with an arb compressor. I'll wire all that up next week and take it in for the shop to install the rear locker and 4.56 gears. The front already has 4.56 gears and an arb locker.

Soon I'll be able to climb the hill in my backyard.

Today I took measurements as the truck should have settled a little.

front left ground to fender lip 37.75 or 23 from center wheel hub to fender lip
front right 37.5 or 22.75
rear left 36.5 or 22
rear right 39 or 24.25

Still trying to figure out why the left rear of the truck sits about 2-2.5 inches than the right. My gas tank is close to empty with the needle past E on the gauge.
