Groupbuy; Headlamp HID projector retrofit
ok guys, here's the deal on the group buy. Almost everyones been asking about keeping the high beams so I figure the best option woudl be to just use a bixenon projector.
With the bixenon's we can get a phase 2 setup. The projectors used will be manufactued by Hella, these are the same projectors use in the BMW E39 (5 series). It has the same basic beam pattern as a 5 series, but its got the added bixenon mechanics so you can retain your high beams.
Normally this setup would run $950 +shipping. If I can get 3 confirmed buyers we can do it for $850 + shipping.
For those that want a standard phase 2 or phase 3 setup we can do that for $50 less if we get the minimum 3 buyers. If we can get 6 confirmed buyers we could knock off an additional $50 off any of the setups. If we get 10 confirmed buyers knock off an additional $50.
If you have any questions please respond here. If you're interested please email us at info@illusion-lighting.com

So H/L beam:
1-2 people: $950
3-5 people:$850
6-9 people: $800
10+ people: $750
L beam only:
1-2 people: $900
3-5 people:$800
6-9 people: $750
10+ people: $700
Is that correct?

See-fu is correct.
They are 2 totally different set-ups. suvlights.com is a very good company with a very good product(I have one of their 4100k Philips H4 kits). But, they offer a "retro" kit for halogen housings. Their Bi-Xenon is still only a retro fit bulb for a halogen housing with a pretty useless high beam.
See-fu offers an OEM projector set-up. This type of set-up is MUCH better. It offers more usable light, sharper cut off, the famous blue/purple light flicker that everyone seems to like and looks OEM. The light performance with OEM projectors with 4100k bulbs is the way to go. I'm interested in the Bi-Xenon still.

Projectors will not work for you unless you upgrade to '99+ headlight housings. You need to have a clear free-form headlight for the projector set-up to work.

I would be interested in the HID retrofit, if there are enough buyers tio get the Hi/Low setup for $750. Sounds alot higher quality than the regular HID conversions found on EBAY.

Me.
I'm interested in the stage 2 high/low. Also, I'm assuming that the prices you gave are not including the shipping, correct? I just thought I'd verify that.

pfd, thanks for the heads up...if we do get enough for the group buy, i would go ahead and up grade the headlights as well...i've been thinking about upgrading them, but i heard that they have alot of dispersed light...not sure if that's true or not..i also heard the beam pattern is weaker than my 96's...i dunno..maybe just rumors..but yea, i would upgrade if i had to...thanks again!

First off, I would be very interested in this.
Second, what is included in the price? Please list.
Third, do you have pics of 4Runner headlights you've worked on in the past?
Thanks
