Got my new exhaust system!

I finally got my new exhaust installed a few weeks ago and I thought I'd post a few thoughts and observations...
It is a custom fabricated manifold back system with stainless free flow cat and free flow muffler (I call it the "rumble" muffler, it sounds a bit like a glass pack, that is nice and quiet till I lay on the gas). The piping is all competion roll bar tube mandrel bent and mig welded so the truck should fall apart first . I really could'nt believe the difference it made to my fuel economy I was averaging 524km to a tank. (dead empty) The first tank only got me 509km but I had a severe case of "happy foot". the second tank got me 543km before i chikened out and put some gas in ( I was about to drive on a strech of road with no place to stop and jerry can ). The giddy up is much better now too, I know I can get out of the way now. I would have to say if you want more out of the 3.0 look to the exhaust and intake. Cheers Aviator

I'm gettin ready to order a Flowmaster 40 series from Summit Racing, its a 2.25" inlet/outlet and I'm gonna have new 2.25" piping bent up from the cat back. I'm hoping this will help a little bit with power and fuel economy but I'm not sure. I'm debating on whether or not to go with a free-flow cat. I probably won't for now but maybe after christmas I'll have them go back under it and put one on.

What brand cat did you go with?

I'm getting a flowmaster 50 and high flow put on in about a week....I'm super excited about it. I'm hoping to get a little better fuel economey and some pep out of it. Hey fink, trunner sent me to this guy with an ebay shop......he's a good guy and will help you out a ton. I called him and got everything taken care of before it was sent. I got the $56 dollar carsound cat 2.25in/out....I've heard it works well so I'm just waiting for it to come in the mail. I don't think the brand really matters as long as it is high flow.

My brother and law just bought a toyota truck and doesn't want the exhaust system. so i'm putting it on my truck. it's has a Flowmaster 40 series but I'm not sure what type of cat.. The cat looks weird it has a little spout coming off of it? I'm guessing it's smiliar to stock.
