gasket sheet...
i had to go get a sheet of exhaust gasket, because i blew through my original gasket...i have headers, soo..i get this sheet, trace the design, get the shape cutout, but how in the heck am i supposed to get out anything else (the bolt holes, the exhaust port openings)...i cant bend the gasket, and theres metal in the middle of it...any idears?

Put the sheet on the header, then rub it with a hard plastic handle from a screw driver. It should leave an imprint on the metal that you can then cut along.

already got pattern off of my old gasket..it wasnt old, just burned through due to a leak.....i just need to figure out how to cut out the center and stuff...razor blades dont go through the metal, and i cant find any damn hole punches...

Use your original bolts and a hammer. Pound them on the gasket hard enough to leave an imprint. As for the center hole you need to use a box cutter. Use the hammer to tap the gasket against the surface its going on to leave an imprint and then use the boxcutter to follow the imprint.

hahaha GNC...i shop there, too!....ill try the tinsnips..i tried them around the outer shape, but i just ended up bending the metal, instead of actually cutting it... ill figure it out though

Actually I had the same problem with the metal bending so what I did was use a small jeweler's screw driver to scribe where I wanted it to break then cut perpendicular to that edge with the snips and bent the pieces until they broke. It took a while, but it worked.
