Use it anytime that you want to get some more power out of your rig. In general, it stretches out the shift points a bit longer so you get higher RPMs before the tranny shifts.

that seems to be the most obvious point. but my car also seems a bit jumpier on the gas, just in general. it doesnt seem as laggy even when normal accelerating
