I don't think the ABS detects the height. It can only detect locked wheels. I guess it was the loss of adequate balanced "push-down" force that cause you weak rear brakes.

BTW, I also checked my rear bars and found that I also got the long ones although it doesn't look much because of the lift.

I've got 2 of the ADDCO rear sway bars that were too long if anyone can use them. I'll put up a post in the 4Sale section as well when I get around to it. They're almost exactly 1-1.5" longer than stock.
