Question Cold air or throttle body spacer

I have an 02 prerunner 2.7 ltr. I wanna enhance the get up on it. What would be best to go with first, a cold air intake or a throttle body spacer. I have no concern with gas mileage, just more power. Any comments would help

Start with a Cam, Header, Exhaust, ,stock K&N, I see very little to no gain with the 2 you mentioned.

As of right now i have a drop in k n filter in stock airbox and flowmaster 40 series. I just cannot seem to find a header for my truck. I mainly see ones for 3.4 ltr. Does it make a difference what brand cam you buy?

It may, try LcEngineering for starts, i have had good luck with them. And post a signature on your truck stats.

Would a cold air make a big difference vs. The k&n drop in filter?

If you experenced that, it was probably the throttle cable getting adjusted tighter.

I just think money could be better spent on something other than a TB spacer. If i started over i would have done gears n lockers first , then foo foo engine mods.

X2, here's a guy over on CT (Paradise Racing) that built a 1200 HP 2RZFE 2.4 Tacoma engine and has many drag runs to prove it. One run was 7.21 sec @192mph !!!

Some pics of his stuff: http://customtacos.com/forum/showthread.php?t=101710
