Clutch fluid ?'s
I've got a quick question.
This weekend I noticed that my clutch fluid was right below the low mark on the resivor(sp?). Is all I have to do is just fill it up to the full mark? Is it not tied into the brake fluid at all? Thanks, Chris

Yes, fill it. Even though you put brake fluid in it - it is not tied to the brakes.
Since it is low, you may want to get under the dash and make sure it isn't leaking into the cab. |

85Runner,
I don't think that it is leaking under the dash, I hope that I would have noticed that, but I will surely take a look. I was just down there the other day organizing some of my wires left over from the Hella light install. Thanks for the tip. I have no idea how long it has been low, I bought the truck used and I guess I have overlooked it. I thought that my mechanic would have filled it up during the past oil changes or at least notified my as to whether that has been a reoccuring thing. Oh well I guess I just keep an eye on the level. If it is not leaking under the dash and the level continues to decrease where would it be going and what actions would I need to take next? What could be wrong? Any ideas? Thanks, Chris

You would look at the slave cylinder next. Its what pushes the clutch actuator on the transmission. Make sure you aren't leaking from there.
