Is it one loud click noise or is it a continuous noise? Mine makes a loud click in reverse when I hit my brakes, and it seems to happen to others too with an auto tranny.

Maybe this will help

no its not one click, more like multiple clunks that shake the whole truck

Have someone crawl under there and look for something obvious.
Where is the clunking appear to coming from? The rear?
If so, maybe a broken spring leaf, loose shock, loose u-bolts, loose spare tire.
Maybe drive-shaft contacting gas-tank skid plate (happened to me once).

I would also just look at your universal joints also. Make sure they aren't busted apart anywhere. Start with the visible easy stuff first before you start opening or removing things.

If the problem is in the rear, it can't be a brake caliper since its drum brakes in the rear....

yeah i know dc, the clunking doesnt come from the rear, it just does it when im in reverse, regardless i know i need a new brake caliper because the threading where one of the bolts goes in on it is stripped, so everytime i hit the brakes the thing is movin
