CD radio
Hi,
I am new here I just wanted to know what kind of Toyota CD/Radio will fit in a 97 Tacoma standard pickup truck. I went on ebay but there are so many out there so I am not sure what to buy. I remove the radio and saw only two white plugs. One has 1 blue wires and I believe the other has a 12 pin connections.
Thanks for any info and this is my first toyota vehicle.

Hey Dude...i am not that familiar with the Tacoma's, but I believe that you can put in single DIN radio in it. You need to buy a wiring harness that those two white plugs will plug into. Also, there is probably a factory amp, which is pretty little, down below your radio.

Ok, here's the lowdown! I think. In my opinion, the 1 blue wire is a power wire that goes to the factory amp. From the amp, the wires are run to the speakers. That is that. The 12 connector is the wiring harness. That is simple. Just read the instructions with the new CD player and the wiring harness to figure out where the wires go. As far as head units, I live by Pioneer. I love them. They are awsome and easy to use. Very reliable. Check them out here. Good luck and let us know how you make out! :fireman:
