Camouflage patterns? Where to get?

I was wondering where to get ACTUAL military camo patterns, not some do-it-yourself take a leaf out of your back yard pattern but the real deal. Anyone have any links? Places? How to? I want it to look real and not half-aszed.

I don't know where to find patterns but here is a link to someone who had done it on TTORA.

It came out pretty sweet.

Try Google....
I tried "official US military camo patterns" and got tons on great hits with pics.

As for patterns for painting, you are still probably going to have to do that yourself.
Also, I seem to remember Cabellas has camo vinyl graphics that will cover the entire vehicle (I remember it because I had a big laugh at it...)

Exactly... camo is not a patern it's a way to decieve the eye... thet's why there's lots of different colors and no real distinct aptern to be seen... alot of camo paterns are just L shaped pieces in different colors fit together "tetris style" espescialy winter camo... it's all just to break up the out line like RIC said... get like 4 different colors, or just 3, Black OD green and Brown and go for broke... just take you time and look at it from a slight distance to get a feel for waht you're doing.

has anyone done digital camo? it looks way cooler than the oldschool camo... i wnat to see the grey, black, white camo in digital camo, the small pixelated camo... not solid colors like i nthe olden days

I was thinking more a naval pattern . . . . . .

http://www.shipcamouflage.com/camouflage_database.htm

But I live near enough to the ocean that naval camo might become relevant!

I painted a truck once in a nice camo patteren, flat black and a dark tan.

I had at least 1/2 dozen people either back into it or side scrape it inparking lots, mostly at night.

so.. sometimes the camo works to well. Watch it.

James

So maybe go with murals of car grills, fire hydrants, checker cab markings, trash piles, and peeps with guns....
