Buying a 99 runner

Hi Guys: I left a deposit on a 99 Runner today with a small private dealer and was looking for some feedback from the best 4Runner website out there.I test drove the vehicle and everything worked fine.Outside the vehicle is super clean with a few minor scratches in the clear coat. The tires don't have a real lot of tread left. The inside is in mint condition.Everything looked good under the hood.I don't think it was ever off road. The title has the origional owners name on it only. The vehicle has 87000 miles on it and I'm guessing it may need a timing belt. There were no maintenance records available. He came down from $9400 to $9000 for tire replacement.Does the price seem reasonable? Is there anything I should be looking for or questions I should be asking? Thanks...

Yeah its around that time to have the timing belt replaced, but good deal for such a low mileage truck!

Is it a 4WD? Make sure you get an Autocheck run on it just to be safe. Small dealers can be unscrupulous. They could've asked more for that 4Runner, especially if it is 4WD.
