Bridgestone Dueler Revos In Greensboro
Yes, I am a lurker of sorts.
My 96 Limited has rolled over 170K. Nerf bars instead of running boards, OME lift, locker and intake mods. Best vehicle ever!
The Michelin LTX AT's (LT 265-75-16's) made 82K of the miles and still had another 10K left on them. I got them at Sam's back in '90 for $450. Best miles to $'s I ever had. But, I could not stand it any longer. The LTX AT's were getting scary on wet roads and were too slick in the snow last year. With a new driver in the house it was time for new shoes.
The revos were about the best I found in research.
The local Firestone place got talked down to $630 out the door for the P265-75-16's. I hope that is a good price.
Tread width is really smaller then the ATX, and I really do not expect to get over 50K on them, but I hope they give some great wet/snow traction.
So far they feel good. Running 40 psi.
Bring on the winter weather.

Hey Mike, welcome from another North Carolinian. That sounds like a very good deal.
So those first tires lasted for 15 years? wow. j/k
You may want to lower that pressure. Most here run between 32 and 35 psi.

Hey Paul!
New Bern is a cool place. I love the outer banks. The 4Runner has taken a lot of trips to Ocracoke and Portsmouth Island.
Oops the tires were purchased in 2000 not 1990.
I'll try some lower pressure.
The LTX's were run at 45 psi for long life and better mpg (50 psi max rating).
The P rated Revos are rated to 44 psi.

That is a really good price for those things, they're not cheep tires by any means, but one of my favorite tires I've ever run. Revos are just beyond all words when it comes to performance, price and tread life.
MLiebal, glad to see someone from my area. We should get up together sometime, I live in High Point but most of my life revolves around Greensboro(school, work, friends, personl business). PM me if you ever want to hit the trails or just talk trucks. Post up a shot of your Runner I think I've seen it around before.

Guys,
I guess the price is why I posted, OK some bragging, but really if anyone in the area wants a set this price can be had.
Stump,
I am afraid to ask what your call name is for. But what does it repr?
I'd love to hook up and try some trails. Uhwarrie is closing on the 19'th?
I am usually on my dirt bike for offroading. Way fun!
Your rig looks really tough!

I just picked up a set of revos for $103/each. I went to Firestone with a printout of Tire Rack's price and they matched it. They were 225-70-15 so don't get too excited. They were for my 94 2WD Pickup. I can't believe the difference from my previous set (don't know what kind they were). I was really amazed driving in the rain. I'm still a bit nervous around turns in the rain but that's only because I'm used to my old set of tires.
