Brake work!

hey all,
Im going to be working on brakes soon and was wondering if anybody knew of a write up of how to change the front brakes. i've done it a few times but I just want to double check myself!

Also, I from what i seached, on my runner the stock rotors warp because the car is heavy. and if I turned them, it will just be easier to warp again...BUT i'm also doing brakes for my civic as well...are hondas okay to turn? since the car is soo much lighter its most likely less prone to warp? I just like the thought of a flat surface for the new pads.....anybody with experience with hondas?

lastly, how do I properly adjust rear brakes? I read somewhere that it the rear shoe should have contact with the drum, and when I spin the wheel, the wheel should spin only once and stop? is there a better way to do this??

I don't see a write-up in the tech write-up section.

Honda rotors can easily be cut if they are not too warped, and should hold flat for a long time. If you are tracking the car then warping will come back quick and you should just grab some aftermarkets.

I've never worked on drums so no help there.

I've found Honda rotors to be very thin to start with, even though the car is light they warp again quickly if turned. Plus when I did my daughters brakes recently new rotors were $35 each and it was $20 each to get them turned, may as well get new ones.

As for the drums I've always adjusted mine until the shoes are just scraping and then backing off 1-2 clicks. I don't think they should be touching all the time.

thanks guys, any more input? i heard that the rear brake should be dragging a tad...i may be wrong....
