Black wheels for snow wheels.. me like!

I took off my American Racing Atlas wheels today for the winter and had my 33" BFG's put on some el cheapo all black rims with round holes. I was skeptical at how it would look but I think it looks sweet!!! Now if only I could get the time to fab up my rear bumper I would do that and get an ARB.. while ditching the chrome. Those few things can totally change the appearance of a truck! The guy at the tire shop said he got several comments from customers today as it sat in the parking lot. I just dropped it off and caught a ride to work today so it was there all day. Anyways thought I would share.. if you been thinking of this... give it a go... looks good.. at least with my all white runner w/black flares and a yak rack.

Yea i think the black looks awesome instead of the chrome. I'm thinkin about painting mine black too. I need to get rid of my shopping cart guards and get a real bumper.

Heres the pic

A pic as promised.... What do you think?

From this

To this

And finally to this... Till spring anyways then I'll probably go back to my purty chrome

Went white walls out to keep the tire wear correct. Sure changed the appearance of the truck.

Ya last spring I spent roughly an hour on each wheel with Mothers Polish. They came out looking mirror like though. The deicing fluid they use here is harsh on wheels!

Looks good, Joey!

How's your 3.0 like the weight of those steelies and the 33's?

It's not bad with my 5 speed and 4.88's. Didn't really notice a difference between the steelies and my chrome ones except they did a piss poor balancing job and now it vibrates going down the road. Taking it back tomorrow to have them respin the tires.

if the tires are not directional or asymetrical, then there is no reason they cant be mounted black or white out....
