Yeah Lee - just called a reputable shop down in Brockton and the guy wanted $525.00 - ahhhhhhhhhhhh

He said, it "is alot" and I said "yeah" and then: "but really you get what you pay for"

see what happens when you try to do this in MA :cry:

Oh - I almost forgot finally the shop guy: "oh and I almost forgot about alignment that is $80 - so you can add that on plus tax"

I can't believe how expensive everything in MA is!
I grew up there and had no idea stuff was so much cheaper elsewhere until I moved.

I am sure you 3 could do it but may I suggest you rent some airtools to help you out.

I live right outside hartford, CT. I am also in the same boat the others in this thread. Hopefully saturday, we'll be putting in my lift in. Its cornfeds and a body lift and i know its not OME, but we'll see what i learn. If i can lend a hand, i don't mind riding up to boston to help out and i won't require any Labatts or Moosehead!!! i'll post up my picks when i'm done and we can figure out if i can help when the time comes.

The trickiest part for me was getting the longer strut back in up front, but using the bottle jack to jack the upper arm down worked great. Other than compressing the springs it's not to bad. I did it without air tools and it went ok. I rented the spring compressor from Checker auto. The only scary part is that the spring compressor seems to barely be big enough to hook around the coils of the spring and when you compress it, it seems like it may pop off. Fun stuff since it seems you can only get enough leverage on the thing while holding it with your legs.

I suggest a max of one beer per hour to avoid getting too crazy with the compressed spring.
