95 4runner lift (full lift not just rear)

i want to get rid of the sag in the rear, mine really doesnt sag much but im using it as an excuse to lift the car, i really only want 2 inches front and rear, can i do this by doing 4 coils and shocks? if so, where do i get the fronts? i think downeys are only for rear right? i am assuming that this would stiffen up the ride so theres less highway body roll.

you have a front torsion bar suspension, your only option for the front would be to crank the torsion bars or get the 1.5" ball joint spacers

people have a 4inch lift if they buy one ala pro comp/superlift/trailmaster.

pretty pricey though...

if you cranked the t-bars 1.5 - 2" you would be riding on the upper bumpstops. I would just get the 1.5" BJ spacers and do a very small t-bar crank, and low profile lower bump stops.

yes you can, but you should buy ball joint spacers for the front instead because it will ride much better.

if you are new to the whole offroading thing, you may just want to get the lift and check out what you can and can do without the locker at first and see if you want to take it to the next level of what you are capable of doing..

but, yes, with that set up and a locker, youd be good to go..

ok ill hold off on the locker for now.

i was also reading about some sort of spacer for the rear if i use aftermarket shocks?
id like to go with 1.5 bj spacers and the hd coils and some rsx shocks. is anything else really needed? like do i need the bump stops? i need this car to handle well on the road because i drive 200 miles to school 2 times a month.

i want to do it right the first time so i dont have to spend more money later on unless i step up to a huge lift if i love it.

you will probably need to extend brake lines and add a panhard drop bracket.

those are probably needed more than lowprofile bumpstops..

the low profile bump stops allow more wheel travel. Your vehicle has 1 upper bumpstop for down travel and 2 lower bump stops for up travel. With the BJ spacers you should not replace the upper (down travel) BS (bump stop) with a LP (low profile) BS, because your CV angle would be really bad. You can however replace the lower (uptravel) BS with the LW BS's to gain about 3/4" - 1" more travel. The bump stops run about $10 for a pair (2 BS's) and you would need 2 pairs to replace the lower BS's since there are 2 per side.
I'm sorry if that is really confusing.

With my suspension lift and others like mine they gave me 2 drop down crossmembers for the front, which lowers your lower control arms. But its only for a 4" suspension lift. I got mine for a pretty decent price off of ebay, 750 shipped. Not too bad of a price. The only thing i need to do now is buy better coil springs because my 4runner still sags. I'll probably go with the OME860's.

With Downey HD coils back aft, and a mild tb crank up front, your rig would sit like mine.

I did the tb crank a few years back before I heard about the ball joint spacer setup discussed on the forum here.
