5VZFE Cylinder numbers? (3rd gen v6 4runner)

How are the cylinders numbered on this engine?
standing in front of the truck, facing back, the spark plug wires indicate
? 3
? 1
? 5

I have the manifold taken off right now, and I was going to label the injectors so that they go back in the same places. I'm not sure if that's even necessary, but it's good info to know anyway

Well, the engine doesn't care, but know that when you get them back from Gordon he'll have each one in it's own numbered bag which correlates to a number on a flow report so that you know if you had a lean cylinder.

Awesome. Thanks Mark!

For those who find this through searching, Mark's referring to Gordon at Witchhunter.com.

Just want to make sure that those numbers on wires means not what cylinder is going to but where it's coming from. I got misfire on cylinder 4 and want to make sure it's the middle one on the driver side.

...anyways, yeah #4 is the middle one on the driver's side.

Was that even a question, or just a comment?

I've had to replace #6 cylinder twice now. I think that cylinder is telling me it's something other than the coil - I dunno.

I've actually had to replace three coils in three different cylinders overall, but about to put the second replacement coil in #6.

2004 SR5 with 300k miles.

Thanks for this info.

Thanks for this info. I pulled my coils and failed to note which cylinders were paired up. Appreciate it!
