4Runner Interior "protection"

I'm curious to hear what people out there use to protect the inside of thier 4Runners from mud, water, you know; general filth, corruption and communism.

I've seen carpeting become a real PITA to keep even quasi-clean when you're constantly putting stuff back there. Ideally I'd like to get a Rhino liner/Line-X, but have been told that they need to be sprayed onto a metal surface. Anyone have any ideas on this one?

I'll go take some pictures of my interior. There is a place here in NC called Vortex that did mine. I tried to go Line-X but they told me it was too high pressure and wouldn't do it. I'm kinda glad anyway, they tried to charge me an arm and a leg. Vortex did it for $500.

you can buy rubber mats that are made for the cargo area if thats what you mean... easy to clean and durable, tho not overly cheap

My Husky liners do the trick pretty well. Easy to clean, very durable, and look better than ripping all the carpet out IMO. I'm also looking into Wet Okle seat covers to keep from ruining my seats.

Thats just what I'm looking for!

Was it just a matter of ripping out the carpet, or did you have to remove any of the moldings/pannels? Any padding or loose wires underneither the carpet that need to be removed/tucked away?

Well I had to bring it to them with only the drivers seat. The wires around the edges of my car are for my sound system. I had to take it out to get them to line it. I don't think I had any loose wires? I don't really know if they removed the molding or anything.
