Lemme tell you.........once those carpets get the stagnated water smell..........
no fan or drying technique will get rid of that smell.
You'll smell it again after the next rain storm or when it gets hot and moist outside.
I've soaked my carpet/ pad a few times and just took it out and shampooed it.
Otherwise........that smell always returns.

ohhhhh...that smell !

Ps...I always notice a few drops of water after I wash my 99 runner
Drivers side floor mat.

Plus.........I ran my Sirius antenna wire out of my rear hatch and a good rain
will have water coming in.
