3rd gen 5spd conversion complete- 1 question
How's it goin? Well, I finished up my 5spd conversion the other night on a 99 limited 4runner. Yesterday I did the bearings, seals and brakes and I feel like i'm driving a sports car. It's great. Anyway, I've got a question about the ADD. The auto tcase had push button on the stick but it was also a J shifter. It engages the front diff differently and I was wondering if somebody might have a wiring diagram of the tcase wiring and front diff. I'm probably going to wire it up to a switch. When I pulled the tranny I had it in 4lo to back it up on some blocks so it's engaged now but I'd like to disengage it before a road trip coming up. Any help is appreciated.

Any way you could make a writeup on this? I love everything about my 4runner except the fact that its automatic. How much custom stuff did you have to do to get everything to fit?

Ditto them, i want some more details!
Looking around real quick i see the 5spd tranny runs about $500 - $1000 o for that price i would MUCH rather just convert over to it then beef up my auto for a SC.

I've had enough of layin on my back under cars for a while. Remember, my cruise doesn't work, i've still got a check engine light and I don't plan on fixing it, just disabling it. It would be much harder if you wanted that to be right. I just took my first road trip in it today from Gatlinburg to Nashville and it was great. I looked down at one point going uphill and I was at 100. It's so different from the auto. I'll post up some pictures of it soon. Next i've got to get my sliders welded up. I also need to wire up a switch to control the front diff.

need help
Hey, I've been real busy and I need to get my front diff figured out. Could someone with access to the FSM help me out with this. it's a 99 limited. When it comes to wiring I suck. I'd appreciate it if someone that knows how to fix my problem could explain how I need to take care of it. Thanks.
