In my experiences, the Toyota OEM Blades work the best.

The previous owner had PIAA blades and said he had them on since late '03 and they're still doing a very good job and are still conforming to the windshield nicely and I was actually impressed but I'd have to see how much they are before I would buy them again but so far so good.

Thanks for the help! I think the PIAA would be too expensive. I used some sort of winter wiper blades (from local autoparts store) with my previous Isuzu Trooper and those last for like 5 years...and it was still working well when I sold that truck. However, I just can't find that model anymore.

Anyway, I might either get the OEM or a winter blade which might have longer life.

Thanks

17" front, 14" rear. Ditto on cutting a longer blade. I'll cut a 15" refill and melt the plastic channel (depends on the brand) that prevents the blade from slipping off. If you don't want to go to the trouble, just buy a replacement for the rear from the dealer. I find that I replace the rear about once every 4th time I replace the fronts, if that.

HE HE down here in the south the sun is brutal, so I get the $2.49 wipers we sell to the commercial accounts. I can't remember who makes them but they seem to last as long as the Trico, Bosch, Anco blade$ (6-7months) but at half the price.

Fronts are 16", according to most reference books at stores, the AutoZone Computer, and what I originally pulled off the 4Runner.

The rear takes a 13" refill. The only place to get a complete rear blade is at the stealer.

I forgot to mention in my post above that the stock arms require the narrow refills which can be difficult to find. I replaced the front wiper arms with non-OEM and now use standard 17" refills up front. You can bend the tangs on the OEM arms to fit standard refills, but they're tough to get just right and won't always allow the blade to lay correctly on the glass.

I now run the piaa's on all my cars, and will never go back. I've also been selling for a year on the my site as well. They aren't cheap but clean better than anything I've ever used as have a built-in rainx in the blade. I've had them over a year and they still work like new.
